TESTED FOR YOU: Huangjisoo Broccoli Voluming Mask.

(Speaking of “Huangjisoo Broccoli Plumping Mask”, it immediately comes to my mind ” )THEY ARE SOOOO HEALTHY”. How many  did our mother repeat this phrase when we would burst into desperate tears in front of a plate of broccoli? It’s funny how, as we grow up, we discover that parents are always right. That’s true: broccoli will not taste great but they do really well, especially when it comes to Korean skincare. Today @maskepedia gives us her feedback on “Broccoli Plumping Mask”. This firming/plumping mask does straight from Huangjisoo, the brand combining technology and love to amplify the effect of nature on the skin.

Huangjisoo Broccoli Plumping Mask consists of 99.5 % concentrated vegetable extracts such as Coneflower Extract and does not irritate the skin. Vitamin A-rich broccoli extracts deliver vitality and firm the skin. This sheet mask aims to plump skin, enliven it and help with tightening.

Key ingredients and benefits:

  • Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract is often cited as potent antioxidants and natural moisturizers which can also help to naturally brighten the skin, lighten age spots and even out the overall skin tone.
  • Echinacea Angustifolia (Coneflower) Extract is capable of phagocytosis, a process of devouring damaged cells, bacteria, and other microorganisms that cause infection. When applied to the skin, it can prevent and fight acne, treat inflammation, and diminish wrinkles.
  • Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract is rich in antioxidants and a good source of Vitamin A that helps with skin cell regeneration to promote clear and even-toned skin.

My skin is extra sensitive and red today. Sebum-wise, it’s feeling like normal skin with the usual slight dehydration. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I caught a faint herbal scent which came entirely from the botanical extracts since no artificial fragrance was present. Essence was clear and had a gel consistency. It also felt a tad slimy.

The cupra sheet felt like thick cotton. It did not come with a backing, which wasn’t an issue since the thick sheet was quite easy to unfold and apply.

Fit was good. Despite the thicker fabric, the sheet came with lots of deep cuts to allow folding and overlapping of material. The overall sheet size was also on the large side, giving lots of excess all around once it was worn.

Adherence was not bad. Again, it was due to the thicker material. The mask stayed and did not slide down or anything, but it did give rise to some lifts from the overlaps. 5 mins into masking and the material around my chin starting hanging loose.

I took the mask off after 45 mins, it was drying out.

The remaining essence absorbed with ease, leaving behind a slightly tacky and greasy finish with a dewy look.

My skin felt very hydrated and moisturized. My combo skin did not require a moisturizer when used in the day time. At night, a thin layer of gel moisturizer was all I needed. As such, I think this is suitable for combo and dry skin but not oily skin. It might feel too heavy on oily skin.

Results were amazing all around! My skin felt so soft and smooth, like a baby’s butt! My redness had also subsided and replaced with radiant, even-toned skin.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

I had such a good skin day for my complexion looked so healthy and radiant! This meant a lot to me since I’m recovering from facial eczema. I’ll be hunting down more variants from this brand!
